🏃🏽♀️➡️ Help me in congratulating freshman Adison Admire on being selected as an at-large qualifier for the upcoming State Cross Country Meet. 🎉 Our teams ran hard at the Regional Meet last week, but unfortunately, neither placed high enough to qualify as a team. Adison was one of the four selected at-large runners from the Regional Meet to race as an individual tomorrow up in Tallahassee. 👏 The FHSAA Class 1A State Championship Meet is slated for Saturday, 11/22, at Apalachee Regional Park. 🔥 Our high school girls` golf team was awarded one of the eight at-large bids to the upcoming FHSAA Class 1A State Tournament. The team will be competing against 15 other schools this Friday and Saturday in the two-day event. 👏 Our entire girls` golf team has had a record-breaking season so far. 🏆 They have definitely represented DSA proudly. 😃 The five girls who qualified as part of our team are: Stella Lind (FR), Ana Hernandez (SR), Alexa Santiago (FR), Isabella Santiago (6th), and Valentina Rovero (SO). Congratulations to our high school cross country teams! Both teams finished 5th in the FHSAA Class 1A-8 Meet this week. 👏 As a result, both teams qualified for the Regional Meet next week Friday. 🎉 A special shoutout to Luis Escobar (SO) on his 10th place finish and to Adison Admire (FR) on her 10th place finish as well. 🏃Congratulations again to the entire team and coaching staff. 👍💪😁
👏 On Friday, our first-ever DSA swim team completed their season at the FHSAA Class 1A Region 4 championships held at NSU University School. The team represented DSA proudly and competed well. 🙌 It was a great first season of swimming at DSA. A special shoutout to coaches Bryan Fiecko and Santiago Gomez. 😃 Their leadership, guidance, knowledge, and mentorship were fantastic! ⛳️ Our golf teams participated in the FHSAA Class 1A District 15 tournament today. Our boys team finished in 6th place and our girls finished in 2nd place. 🏆 With their 2nd place finish, our girls team advanced to regionals next week. Also, a huge shoutout to freshman Stella Lind for her first place medalist honors as the overall girls champion.👏 Stella shot a 70 (-2) to take the individual championship. 🔥 On Friday, our swimming team competed in its first-ever FHSAA district swim meet. The team represented DSA proudly! The boys` team finished in 5th place, and our girls` team took 3rd place. 👏 The girls` team narrowly missed finishing as the runner-up by just two points. Two individuals finished with individual gold medals. 🥇Gianluca Polo took first in both the 100 back and the 200 IM. Gabriela Candelaria also took first in the 200 IM. 💪 Our girls` relay team took first place as well in the 400 Free. 🚧 Finally, after months of delays, construction has resumed on our new soccer field! The crew is back in full force and ready to make significant progress over the next few weeks. 🚜 We can expect to see the new turf going down soon! God-willing, our soccer teams will be able to compete in Shark Stadium yet this season. 🎉 Expect to see more updates on the construction here throughout the upcoming weeks. ⚽️🏟️👍
🏆 Congratulations to our middle school girls` golf team! On Wednesday, our middle school golf teams concluded their seasons with the SFMSC (South Florida Middle School Conference) Championship. ⛳️ Our girls` team did exceptionally well and earned a 1st Place finish by shooting a team score of 168! 🎉 Not only that, our #1 singles player, Orianna Acosta, was the medalist in the tournament. Oriana shot an impressive 32 to take the top honor. 👏 Congratulations again to our entire team and coaches, Santiago Espinosa and Robbie Schmidt. Thank you all for representing DSA proudly.
