Yesterday our high school girls golf team broke the two school records! 👍 The team shot a 9-hole score of 140. That’s a four under par team score. Amazing! 🙌 Senior Ana Hernandez also broke the girls individual 9-hole scoring record by shooting a 31! 👏👏👏Congratulations to the team and coaches on this amazing performance! Yesterday, all four DSA volleyball teams traveled to Florida Christian for competition. 🏐 The two middle school teams started off the night with impressive victories. Then it was time for the high school teams to take the floor. Both teams dominated in coming away with straight-set sweeps. 👏 The 11-1 upset-minded Patriots were no match for the undefeated Sharks in the last match of the night. 🏊🏼♂️ This past weekend, our high school swim team made history by competing in their first-ever FHSAA swim meet. The team competed in the Florida Christian Schools Invitational hosted by Westminster Academy. Both teams did well and finished in 6th place. 🙌 Top finishers included 8th grader Gianluca Polo, who finished 4th in the 200 IM, and Gabriela Candelaria, who finished 8th in the 100 Butterfly. 😁 Congratulations to the team and coaches. This morning after chapel, Coach Nic Liu, Coach Jenny Sotomayor, and State Champion Lauren Kettlewell received their state championship rings 🔥 Lauren was the FHSAA Class 1A state champion this past school year. 🎉 She was also named the Miami Herald tennis Player of the Year! 🎾 Congratulations to Lauren and her coaches again on a fantastic season. Today marked a special day in DSA history. The first practice of our very own swim team🏊♂️ Our home facility is the brand new Aquatic Center at Doral Central Park. Thank you to Coach Bryan and Coach Santiago for leading the team. 👏 Thank you also to the city of Doral for allowing us to use the new Aquatic Center. 🦈 Exciting times ahead for this new team!
