This week, our boys` and girls` high school tennis teams competed in the FHSAA Class 1A District 15 tennis tournament. 💪 After two days of great competition, our girls` team came out on top as District Champions! 🏆 The boys` team also played well and battled against great competition on their way to finishing as the District Runner-Up. Both teams now advance to Regional play next week, on Tuesday. 😁
A special shoutout to our individual and doubles champions as well. On the girls` side, Martina Roversi won the singles title. 🔥 Martina then partnered with Maria Yano in doubles to claim that title as well. 🥇 Both now automatically advance to the state tournament. To God be the Glory! 👏

God-willing we will start seeing work on the installation of the lights soon. The plan is to put in a scoreboard in the next few months as well. 👏The grand entryway should also get completed this summer. ⚽️Things are really starting to take shape with this project. To God be the Glory! 🙏😁
Congratulations to our high school boys soccer team on defeating Ransom Everglades last night in an epic match. 👏 Our Sharks scored the go ahead goal with less than ten minutes left to secure the 2-1 victory! 🏆 This is just the 3rd District Championship for our boys soccer team. Congratulations to the eight DSA volleyball players named to one of the Miami Herald All-Dade teams! 👏 The All-Dade teams are put together by members of the Miami Herald high school sports department. Eight selections for Divine Savior are the most by any team in the history of the school. 😁 Thank you, ladies, for all of your hard work, dedication, passion, and commitment. Our very own Coach Jorge Perez was recently announced as the recipient of the Miami Herald All-Dade Coach of the Year award for girls` volleyball. 👏 Coach Perez, in just his second year as the head coach of the Sharks, led the team to a 29-2 record and an appearance at the State Final Four! 💪 The team defeated Westminster Christian in the Regional Finals before falling to Tampa Prep. The Lord continues to bless the volleyball program at Divine Savior as it is regularly recognized as one of the best in the State. 🎉 Congratulations to Coach Perez, his staff, and the entire team. Ruth Martinez was just named Miami Herald All-Dade Player of the Year for the Fall volleyball season. 🎉 Please help me in congratulating Ruth for this amazing accomplishment! 🏃🏽♀️➡️ Help me in congratulating freshman Adison Admire on being selected as an at-large qualifier for the upcoming State Cross Country Meet. 🎉 Our teams ran hard at the Regional Meet last week, but unfortunately, neither placed high enough to qualify as a team. Adison was one of the four selected at-large runners from the Regional Meet to race as an individual tomorrow up in Tallahassee. 👏 The FHSAA Class 1A State Championship Meet is slated for Saturday, 11/22, at Apalachee Regional Park.
